Basecamp Speaker Session: Phrenology of a Floodplain | November 20

Over the course of ten months, as a Maine Master Naturalist in training, I returned to the recently decommissioned floodplain at Somerset Woods Trustees’ Wesserunsett Stream Preserve to document how the landscape shifted through the seasons. It was incredible! Each return visit showed me something new: water rising or falling, sunlight shifting, life awakening or quieting. Together, those moments revealed how every species here is tuned to this unique ecosystem.
