    Would you like to learn more about the invasive plants in Maine and how to ID them? Somerset Woods will be holding an invasive plant ID event at Kennebec Banks Rest Area on Earth Day! The event will cover the invasive plants on the property, as well as other common invasive species in Maine, and how to ID them.

    Participants should expect to arrive for a brief safety chat and a discussion about the characteristics of common invasive plants before we head out across the property to ID invasive plants. If there are enough participants we may split into smaller groups.

    This event is suitable for participants of all ages! To participate in this free event sign up through Skowhegan Outdoors or email Emma directly at (americorps@somersetwoodstrustees.org). We ask that all participants RSVP.
