  • This is a hiking-based volunteer event that will be led by Rachel Cheatham-McFadden. Hike will not be longer than 2 miles. Although this volunteer opportunity is free and open to any age/skill level, beginner hikers may find uneven terrain and grades challenging.

Itinerary: We will meet at the Eaton Ridge parking area at 9AM. Parking is limited, so please consider carpooling. We’ll begin our program with a quick check-in for introductions and a safety chat. Then, we will make our way along the blue trail until the red trail junction. At the red trail junction, we will split into two teams. One team will hike the red trail loop, and then follow the yellow trail, and the other will continue on the blue trail. We will meet back up at the second yellow trail junction.

What to bring: Water and snacks. Dress in layers, including hats, gloves, and warm socks.  Bring appropriate footwear, such as hiking or rubber boots. Bring microspikes or snowshoes (depending on the weather), work gloves, and loppers if you have them. If not, please let Rachel know and she will provide some for you.

Please direct any questions to Rachel Cheatham-McFadden.
