Join Skowhegan Outdoors and John Meader, Director of Northern Stars Planetarium, for a night of telescopes and discoveries.
Given a clear sky you should be able to see several planets as well as nebulae, star clusters, globular clusters, and maybe the Andromeda Galaxy. You'll have the entire Milky Way arching overhead, as well as constellations from the Big Dipper to Cygnus the Swan to Sagittarius the Archer. This would be a great program for anyone interested in astronomy or those who would just enjoy a look at the breathtaking Maine sky!
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring water and a snack. If needed, these items and other gear and clothing are available upon request from the Skowhegan Outdoors Free Community Gear Library. Library.
This is a free community program of Skowhegan Outdoors, an AmeriCorps program of Main Street Skowhegan.
