The program is designed for entrepreneurs and small business owners who are ready to solidify their financial plans, learn about financial opportunities for their business, and gain access to industry professionals.

    The National Coalition for Community Capital (NC3) defines community capital as the broad engagement of community members in local investing. How does this relate to you as entrepreneurs? Well, any entrepreneur can raise investments from your place-based community or values-aligned community. We will describe how this is possible and the foundations for this work, giving you the context you need to dive into Workshop 3 where Kathleen Minogue will detail the tool you may use to do this: investment crowdfunding.

    Workshop 3: Crowdfunding and Alternative Funding Platforms

In the last decade, crowdfunding has empowered businesses of all sizes and stages with the tools to raise billions in capital from their communities.     Workshop 4: Traditional Financing: Loans & Lines of Credit

    This Workshop will include entrepreneurial considerations for choosing a bank such as cash needs, check needs, check deposits, credit card processing, and mobile deposits. We will also address whether the bank is able to service business or organization physical locations. The business or organization's mission alignment aspect or B Corp Certification will also be discussed. In closing, a case study example from Amalgamated Bank will be offered to illustrate these considerations and spark a fruitful Q&A period.
