    What to Expect

This Pedal-to-Paddle weekend is designed for participants who enjoy active days outside and want to experience Maine’s landscape across disciplines. The weekend begins with a group departure from Basecamp and travel to the Moosehead Outdoor Alliance trail network, where guides will lead a supported mountain bike ride. Routes are selected based on trail conditions and group ability, with options to keep the ride smooth and scenic or add mileage and challenge as desired.

After riding, the group transitions to Indian Pond, where guides will assist with camp setup and logistics. The evening is intentionally relaxed—time to swim, explore camp, ride on the dirt roads, enjoy snacks, and settle in for the night.

On day two, the focus shifts from pedals to paddles. After breakfast snacks and packing up camp, the group heads to the East Outlet of Moosehead Lake for a guided paddle. This stretch offers moving water with approachable features, scenic shoreline, and plenty of space to practice boat control while enjoying the river corridor. Guides provide instruction and support throughout the day, with breaks built in to refuel and take in the surroundings.

This weekend prioritizes flow, adaptability, and shared experience—participants should expect full but manageable days, supportive instruction, and a strong sense of place.
