    What to Expect

Experience the best of Maine’s backcountry in this unforgettable multi-sport adventure based out of the Maine Huts & Trails Flagstaff Hut on the shores of Flagstaff Lake. Hosted by Skowhegan Outdoors in collaboration with Maine Hut's & Trails, this pedal-to-paddle experience seamlessly blends mountain biking and flatwater paddling (kayaking and canoeing) in one stunning, fully supported getaway.

Spend your days riding scenic forest trails and gliding across the expansive waters of Flagstaff Lake, surrounded by big views, quiet coves, and Maine’s wild beauty. Whether you’re new to either sport or looking to refine your skills, our professional instructors and guides will tailor the experience to the group—offering skill development, route guidance, and local insight every pedal and stroke of the way.  Expected to ride your bike into the Hut on the first day ~2 miles with opportunities to get more mileage.  In the afternoon we will take advantage of Maine Hut's & Trails kayaks and canoes on the shore of Flagstaff Lake.

After full days of adventure, relax and refuel at Flagstaff Hut with hearty meals, comfortable bunkroom-style accommodations, and the kind of off-grid camaraderie that only a shared adventure can create. With all logistics handled, all you have to do is show up ready to ride and paddle.
