  • Join Skowhegan Outdoors for —a cozy, half-day winter break program from 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Kids and teens will learn winter safety basics, try out snow-day recreation, and enjoy a fun group experience before heading home for the afternoon.

    Who & When:
    Saturday 12/28 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
    Sunday 12/29 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

    Ages 10 and Up!

    What:
Think of it as a winter-break mini camp:
A relaxed morning block, not a full long day
Time outside for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snow play (weather-dependent)
Indoor warm-up time with crafts, games, and skill-building
Simple, practical winter safety lessons woven into the fun

Participants will be under the supervision of trained outdoor recreation staff and certified Wilderness First Responders. Gear and instruction included, lunch is not included. This program is free of cost.
