Event Date: Saturday, March 29th, 9 AM - 1 PM
Location: Skowhegan Outdoors Basecamp Gear Library
    Gear Drop-Off: Friday, March 28th, 12 PM - 6 PM

Thank you for participating in the Skowhegan Outdoors Gear Swap! This event is a great way to pass along quality gear you no longer use while finding new-to-you outdoor equipment at affordable prices. Please read the details below before completing your registration.

    How It Works:
All gear must be registered via the form below before the event.
Only items in excellent condition will be accepted.
Sellers will handle their own transactions (Venmo, PayPal, cash, or check—please indicate preferred method).
Gear will be tagged with contact info and preferred payment method when dropped off.
Skowhegan Outdoors will not process payments on behalf of sellers.
Any unsold gear must be picked up by the seller by 1 PM on March 29th, or it may be considered a donation.
If you choose not to take your gear back, you may donate it to the Skowhegan Outdoors Gear Library for community use. We will NOT be accepting apparel donations.

    Gear Guidelines:
We welcome a wide variety of outdoor recreation gear, including:

✅ Camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, stoves, cookware, etc.)
✅ Paddling gear (canoes, kayaks, paddles, PFDs)
✅ Hiking and climbing equipment (trekking poles, packs, harnesses, snowshoes, etc.)
✅ Cycling gear (bikes, helmets, accessories)
✅ Limited outdoor apparel (jackets, gloves, boots, etc., in clean condition)

    ⚠ We CANNOT accept:

❌ Used climbing ropes, harnesses, or helmets (for safety reasons)
    ❌ Non-functional or broken gear
    ❌ Excessively worn-out footwear
❌ Items missing essential components (e.g., tents without poles)
❌ Electronics with dead batteries or unknown functionality
    ❌ Excessively used apparel/clothing

🚨 Large Items & Outdoor Staging:
We have limited space indoors. Large items (e.g., canoes, kayaks, bike racks, etc.) are subject to rejection if space does not allow.
Some large items may need to be staged outside.

    Pricing & Payment Info:
Please list your Venmo or PayPal handle on the form so buyers can pay you directly.
Sellers may also accept cash or checks, but we strongly encourage digital payments.

    Swap or Donate:
If your item doesn’t sell, would you like to donate it to the Skowhegan Outdoors Gear Library? You can indicate this in the form.
Once donated, gear becomes property of the Gear Library and cannot be reclaimed.

    Disclaimers:
I confirm that my gear is in excellent condition and free of major defects.
I understand that Skowhegan Outdoors is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or malfunctioning gear.
I acknowledge that Skowhegan Outdoors will not facilitate any payments, and I am responsible for collecting payment from buyers.
I understand that if I donate gear to the Gear Library, it is a final donation and cannot be reclaimed.
By registering your gear for the swap via the Google Form, you agree to the above disclaimers.

We look forward to a fun and successful event. Please reach out if you have any questions.
