Barn & Timber Workday at Parkman Hill Farm
Sunday, March 9th
9AM to 11AM
This workday is hosted by Rachel Cheatham-McFadden and Emma Hovencamp; it will take place in the barn at 380 Parkman Hill Farm in Solon. Volunteers will either support construction of a subfloor for the stewardship work space or move, split (gas wood splitter), and stack wood to support the Somerset Woods Share firebank initiative.
This volunteer event is best suited for adults, preferably those with experience. Volunteer capacity is limited to 4 people.
Somerset Woods Trustees will provide wood and materials needed for construction projects. Participants will need to bring work gloves, close toed shoes, and wear long pants. The barn is chilly, so participants should bring layers and perhaps a thermos with a warm drink! All participants should expect to sign a waiver upon arrival.

In Support of Main Street Skowhegan
Main Street Skowhegan is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on the ongoing revitalization of historic Skowhegan, Maine. Founded in 2005 by a group of citizens, Main Street relies on hardworking staff, energetic AmeriCorps members, a dedicated Board of Directors, and more than a hundred awesome volunteers to execute major community initiatives and events.
