  • Calling all dirt riders, and those who are single track curious! Explore a network of trails, right here in our backyard. You’re invited to join us outside for a morning mountain bike ride on the Philbrick Trails.

    WHAT TO EXPECT?

This ride is for all! The clinic is designed to introduce riders to the Philbrick Trails as well as provide veteran trail users a chance to ride with fellow mountain bike enthusiasts in a casual group setting.

The Skowhegan Outdoors team will teach you a range of skills from pre-ride bike checks to basic mountain bike handling skills, think cornering and balance.

Mountain bikes, and of course helmets, are required for this activity. Need to borrow gear? We got you! We have a limited number of mountain bikes and helmets to lend in our free Gear Library at Basecamp. Just let us know in advance.

Any level rider is welcome to join: newbie, expert or just want a refresher, we’ve got a spot for you.

Riders under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

    Advance registration is encouraged.

This is a free community activity coordinated by the Skowhegan Outdoors AmeriCorps Program, an initiative of nonprofit Main Street Skowhegan.

*Participants should already be familiar with how to ride a bike, but previous mountain biking experience is not necessary.
