Join Skowhegan Outdoors on the Kennebec River to build your canoeing skills. We will explore the river as you learn water safety, proper paddle strokes, ferrying, and eddy skills.
A limited supply of canoes is available upon request from the Skowhegan Outdoors Basecamp, a free Community Gear Library.
This is a free community activity coordinated by the Skowhegan Outdoors AmeriCorps Program, an initiative of the nonprofit Main Street Skowhegan.

In Support of Main Street Skowhegan
Main Street Skowhegan is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on the ongoing revitalization of historic Skowhegan, Maine. Founded in 2005 by a group of citizens, Main Street relies on hardworking staff, energetic AmeriCorps members, a dedicated Board of Directors, and more than a hundred awesome volunteers to execute major community initiatives and events.
