  • Join Skowhegan Outdoors as we embrace the warm weather during our Forest Therapy program. Time spent among the trees is scientifically proven to increase our immune system’s ability to respond to threats, increase the production of NK white blood cells, and decrease blood pressure. Many of us become so busy in our everyday lives, and Forest Therapy walks provide an opportunity to slow down, be present, and create a moment of mindfulness. During this program, Constance Woodworth will connect us with nature by guiding us in focusing on our senses. After this gentle experience, you may feel a little lighter, calmer, and more ready for the day!

Please wear comfortable clothing and boots, and bring a snack and water. Remember, temperatures will be chilly at times, but it will also start warming up during this time of year. Please wear clothing that will keep you warm, and shoes that are appropriate as we enter into the mud season. If needed, these items and other gear and clothing are available upon request from the Skowhegan Outdoors Free Community Gear Library.
